Here are my current bikes, there's nothing especially fancy but I'm attached to all of them and try and get out on all of them at least once every few months.

The Mongoose Sabrosa - my daily commute, eats lycra for breakfast.

My Craftworks FRX - do everything bike

My 97 GT LTS 3000 DS - I've owned this since new. Took parts off my Norco hardtail and gave it a new lease on life. I love this bike.

My 95 GT Tempest - A classic GT frame rebuilt as my single speed.

My Torker BMX - Heavy and old but I love it anyway. I'm building a pump track in the back yard for it at the moment.

And a hint at my current project. My parents bought me this bike for my 5th Birthday.

Hey thanks for the comments everyone.

The Craftworks aren't made here (Taiwan). The design/engineering/testing is all done over here though.

Still a great Australian company.

Just as a heads up, mate, this isn't the appropriate place for that post. You need to create a new thread for it. Just digging up a random, months old thread to post in makes no sense.

Just a few updates:

The commuter has lost a few chain rings and has gone clipless.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/coldtoes/DSC02388.jpg

The project BMX is coming along nicely now too.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/coldtoes/DSC02438.jpg

I went to the BMX world champs here in Adelaide last weekend, now I'm all inspired and looking for a new bmx. Probably street/park rather than racing though.

Few quick updates.

BMX is almost done, just need to get around to installing the brake.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/coldtoes/P1000723.jpg

And the commuter is now a single speed. Trying a 48:18 to start with.

Cut down the bars a bit too, should help with couple of tight squeezes through traffic on my way to work.

I've been riding the Craftworks pretty hard lately and hitting up a lot of the local downhill tracks.

While it's so tempting to go out and buy a full on downhill bike, I do like to be able to ride back up to the top of the trail and the Craftworks hasn't exactly been letting me down.

So it was time for a suspension and wheel upgrade.

I finally bought a GoPro!

Despite all this bad weather, I went out saturday morning to give it a quick test. Need to work on the angle of the chest mount set up; perhaps flipping it and running it in upside down mode might help get it a bit more vertical?

Anyway, very happy with the video quality, here's one of my first trial runs.

Awesome. If you ever need one reason why you should always ride with a go pro is so you can upload your mate binning it on YouTube. Thumbs up!

Speaking of cool shot, that's a freaking cool track, where abouts is it?

The stack video is from probably my favourite trail at the Eagle MTB Park in the Adelaide Hills.

Few updates with the bikes.

Despite the muddy winter, I've been managing to get a lot of use out of the Craftworks. The new forks are settling in nicely and really match the feel of the rear end. Still playing around with the air pressures a bit because there's still about an inch of travel I'm not getting out of the fork.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/coldtoes/P1010922.jpg

I stripped the LTS back down to a frame and used some of the parts plus a few other bits and pieces to build up an STP for street use. The wife loves the purple frame so it's pretty much become a part time beach cruiser. The forks were originally Marzocchi Drop Offs which I played around with the internals to reduce the travel by about half.

I've calculated that the commuter bike must have racked up over 10,000 km. While still very much enjoying this bike, the eccentric bottom bracket was beginning to require constant maintenance, especially during all this wet weather.

Last weekend I made the decision that I'd had enough of the creaking and within 2 hours I had converted this.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/coldtoes/P1000725.jpg

to this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/coldtoes/P1020190.jpg

Most parts transferred straight over from the old bike with a few other parts thrown in. First build I've ever done completely from existing parts, didn't have to buy a single part! That being said, some slicks will be ordered shortly.

Took it for it's first commute today. It's definitely not as fast as the old bike, mostly due to the big rubber I guess. The 48:18 gearing is still pretty huge with the smaller wheels, so this bike isn't set up for long climbs. Perfect for the 30km daily round trip.
