The frame is a full cromo 99.9% replica ofthe original tange frame. Black skyways, tear drop polka dot design, royal and emerald colour brake cables, and 80’s rad pads!"

you kids crack me up. i used to race against these old skool bmx's.
well lets say in the day they weren't old skool. they were new!
i raced a mongoose originally then moved onto a super L.A. frame
which was hand made in QLD.
it ran tange cranks, araya rims and was all anodized blue.
unfortunately i don't have any photos of the bike.
back in the day when the professor was the king, and i raced at
north ryde BMX track and used to race against bikes like the helium
filled quicksilver, PK Rippers so many.
for the record. when raced i wasn't really that good until the
club championships. when they came around i would usually
win and i went to the states twice. reason being, when they
would set the track up for the club championships they would
include the last two straights which wasn't the norm on club
meets. this meant the track was almost 25% longer.
i wasn't as good a sprinter but i had the legs to nail everyone
on the last two straights over the whoop'dy do's with
still enough power to clear 3 at a time.
thinking back now i would have probably been better off racing
road rather than short track bmx.
with this knowledge in hand i race XC now & as a 38 year old
man and i am slowly getting back into form... slowly
much to learn you whipper snappers.

Whoo hoo E.T. models! They re-released the E.T. paint scheme on a Laserlite in 2006. It's exactly the same bike as my Laserlite but in the E.T. colours. That means GOLD FUNN CRANKS!

i particularly like the old school stuff, so so cool.
i heart my kink
Hey all, i have just signed up but thought i would show off my current build. Its an 88.5 Haro Sport. Frame is all NOS and came from the UK and most parts i have so far are new. Its been mocked up but it should be finished soon. And before anyone asks, yes the frame is wrapped in cling wrap, helps prevent paint damage :) Would kill myself if i scratched it!!! Its only 20 yo after all and still looking like brand new!!!!
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/ido09s/DSC_2790.jpg
Dittmar, if your after one of the reissue Masters, Fulchers in Chipping Norton have one on order. Its the one i had on order and canned cause the above frame came through. Give Mark a call and tell him Brad told you about it if your interested.
Here is my current daily ride. Still yet to use it heaps as every time i try and get to the bike track its been raining :(

So glad you got that saddle Andy. I've always want it (both the one pictures and especially the embossed one) just to hang up on the wall. The Odyssey wolf saddle too. Also for the wall.
already got enough parts to build 2 Haro's so not alot more out lay to build this one. Needs a total build but its no GTR so its quite easy :D

I'm looking at buying some Tuff's (http://www.coloredtuffs.com/shop/index.php) direct from the States.
Is anyone else interested in getting some?
I figure the postage will be cheaper.
It still cheaper to get them for the states than it is from here!
I'm also looking at getting the additional parts package to finish off.

I am interested in a set of skyway blacks or blue for my bully piston.

Where?
I found the place in Newcastle has them for $275. I thought a few weeks ago it was $199 since thats what I put in my budget spreadsheet for the build.
I got them from Fulchers Cyclery over Moorebank way.

let me know how you go.
Hey guys we have black tuff 2s in stock for $229 a pair,we also carry white most of the time but are out of stock until next week,as for coloured ones they are quite a bit more expensive. We can also get in the tuff UTs which are still a 5 spoke but have a U shaped spoke blade instead of the classic T shaped and the UTs are a little cheaper but only available in black, they will set you back around the $189 mark. All new skyway tuffs are full sealed cartridge bearing set ups now too so no more loose retainer style bearings.
If you have any other tuff questions you can call the shop wed-sunday on 02 95192312-Hell On Wheels.

Hey all BMXers
Need advice on rims.
Araya 7X's in chrome are hard to come by and getting very pricey, so whats your advice
here's three I'm looking at.
Ukai rims were the standard on the KZ-1

Nice rims just not 7X's
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180355823315
or cheapies to get me rollin
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=220402895543
Or some replica 7x's.
Also thinking black might be cool with the black hubs and silver spokes.
or finally shits and giggles

If you mean the Haro then yes it's an old school original but it looks brand spanking new! so shiny and pretty.
If you mean the PK-Ripper then i'm getting a limited edition retro one.
I was referring to the Sport. My frame was bought NOS from the UK :) it had never been built till i got it.

If by HP 48s you mean the original wheels, then yes it has an absolutely immaculate set, sealed hubs with all the chrome intact he brought the bike to us in parts wrapped in newspaper, it was like christmas sitting there unwrapping all this beautiful brand new Haro master in parts.

New school V old school
I just went for a spin on my BMX's.
I tightened up all the nuts, bolts, screws and whatnots on the KZ1-R and took her for a fang (don't you just love old school slang) around the yard. It felt great. Light responsive and the gear ratio was to my liking. The seat post dropped a little but probably coz I put a little grease in there so it doesn't lock up. All round it was a nice bike to ride. Easy to sit'n'ride, stand'n'ride and corners hard even with crappy Comp III replicas.
So next was the Laserlite. Supposedly one of the best racebike (although with heavier components on this one) and yet I found it hard to ride. Steering was un predictable and quite agressively fast. Gearing was harder to accelerate. it felt light but unstable compared to the KZ1.
Finally the Quad. It felt like the in between bike. It was just as hard to get moving as the Laserlite but not as snappy in its responsiveness. Easly to ride sitting and standing and cornered quite well. It was roomier to ride than the KZ1 but not as comfortable. I'm not sure why. it might be the tyre air pressure as the Quad was very hard (40 psi min to 65 psi max and I think it was at 65psi) and the KZ has 35PSI as the recommended pressure.
Overall the KZ was the winner if I had to ride one everyday but I really think that will change if I adjusted the tyre pressure.
Recomended pressures can suck it,
I ran 110psi in holyrollers which are rated to 65 max for about 6 months, no problem at all. Having said that, I'm scared of doing it now, for no reason at all. I run 80 on my bmx now.

Sweet. Is that the Senior Pro or was the Senior pro bigger again?
I have a couple of DB Minis from the same era.

Yes, they are Redline Flite cranks too.
