spec list is as follows, there are a few things that have been changed from stock

Reign X1
Frame - 2009 ALUXX SL FluidFormed alloy Maestro 6.7" Reign X1
Rear shock - 09 fox dhx 3.0
Front shock/fork - 09 Fox vanilla R
Handlebars -raceface evolve AM 31.8 low rise (Funn fatboys '750mm o/s 30mm rise' are coming in the mail)
Stem - raceface evolve AM
Headset - FSA
Grips - JetBlack (gold)
Saddle - SDG Bel Air Ti rail
Seatpost - Raceface Evolve XC 30.9 (cut down 80mm)
Front brake - avid juicey 5 185mm (changed to hayes stroker tail)
Rear brake - avid juicey 5 160mm (changed to hayes stroker trail)
Cranks - Raceface Evolve DH X-Type
Chain - Shimano HG73
Pedals - Wellgo alloy platform, cr-mo axle (crap!) (changed to Flybikes magnesium ruban with extra long pins)
Front derailleur - Shimano Deore LX
Rear derailleur - Sram X.9 9sp
Front shifter - Sram X-7 trigger
Rear shifter - Sram X-7 trigger
Cassette - Sram PG950
Front hub - Mavic Crossline Disc Wheelset!
Rear hub - Mavic Crossline Disc Wheelset!
Front rim - Mavic Crossline Disc Wheelset!
Rear rim - Mavic Crossline Disc Wheelset!
Spokes - Mavic Crossline Disc Wheelset!
Nipples - love em'
Tyres - WTB prowler MX front, XT rear (crap!crap!crap!) (changed to Maxxis minion DHF 2.5 42a for the front and highroller 2.35 60a on the back)
Tubes - giant generic ones

Total weight - haven't had a chance to weigh it on proper scales... rough idea just over 16kg maybe 16.1


good
-absolutely love the Crossline wheels.. so-light, so stiff
-Sram derailer is awesome, very smooth
-cranks are very stiff
-very efficient pedaling, goes up hills like a hard tail
-comfy seat
-dialed suspension
-grippy pedals

bad
-narrow handle bars (problem solved '750mm fun fatboys')
-no chain guide.......... yet


possible upgrades:
-white E13 LG1 chain guide
-bigger rotors
-um, er ... something else, I'll think of more later

I'm about to prove you wrong for once! lol.

Modulation doesn't really exist, it's more the way the rider uses the brakes, but in saying that the juicy 5's still "feel" like crap.

well actually it depends on leverage ratios.. on your XT's the 'servo wave' technology allows the the piston (master cylinder) to move slower at the end of the stroke
This helps you keep under the fine line of powerful braking and locking up the wheels.. i guess you can call i whatever you want, i call it good modulation.
different master cylinders definitely have different leverage ratios... some have falling and some have rising rates there's no doubting that
XT's have a falling rate
