Pretty sure any hardware store could sort you out with one mate, it should just be a normal cap screw.

If you want something fancy there are numerous bolt places around Sydney. There is a good place in Parramatta and a place on Rawson Street in Auburn, cant remember their names for the life of me though, sorry :(

As with the other 'bolt thread' - go to bike shop, give money, get bolt, go home, ride bike.

Thomson say that you cannot use other bolts on their stem, but you should be more than fine if it is a steel or Ti bolt of decent quality, and there are 3 other original (and apparantly super strong) thomson bolts in there.

Went to the bike shops in melbourne they don't carry spare bolts for Thomson. As u said it's better to use the Thomson bolt as per their website.

$17.50 for shipping in CRC for 2 bolts would u guys actually pay for it?

Anyway, if you guys have spare one let me know how much to post to Melb. Thanks for your help.

(Btw, I did wait for my dog to give back. He must have dropped it somewhere I missed)

stuff that, just go to the local bolt shop and grab one. Thomson will advise against it so you buy their over priced stuff. $17 odd dollars for 2 bolts, hahaha, stuff that!!!

If the bolts at your local bolt shop will hold a GTR together lap after lap after lap of every race track in Australia, they are going to hold your handle bars in the stem!

Definitely would not pay $17.50 for two bolts lol but if your friends are making an order it would be a good thing to do :)

Hi A.Davies,

I ended buying a pair expensively through ebay. They overcharged my shipping but sent me extra pair as to compensate. Now I have 4! If only I read your post 1 month ago I could have saved myself so much trouble. Sorry to get back to you so late I thought no one could helo here.

Thanks again.

seriously, i dont know why you didnt just buy some local cap screws. Its not like a stem needs some super duper strong type of screw to stay together!

What did you end up payng for them all?
