that's an odd size - i have a post of this size that i'm currently using and would not part with. it's just a crappy kalloy one that cost about $10 cos it's only on a '94 mongoose hilltopper....

i did some research on this at the time though - if you want this size you have 2 options, kalloy or thomson. keep an eye on places like speedgoat who keep an extensive stock of all sizes and you may find it on special for cheap...

I have a 25.4mm Thomson seatpost on sale in the parts thread. I dunno if you can get some kinda shim for seatposts. I was in the same predicament with my last frame and went through both a Kalloy and the Thomson. If you can afford to, go the Thomson seatpost, it's a fair bit lighter and less problems with the saddle coming loose compared the Kalloy.

This is by no means a sales pitch :)

Hey 'prime,

Yes you can get shims to bring it upto 26.8, but I ended up buying a sh*tty kalloy one. I got tired of waiting for Thomson to bring 26.8 back in stock.

Cheers for the heads up. I have a thomson on my other bike and I 100% agree with what you said. Set and forget ftw!
