Has anyone here done a food challenge or keen to attempt one?

I was watching a food show on Foxtel, and the guy struggled to eat a 7lbs (3kg) burrito.

I've had apprentices who love to eat but always bailed when challenges were set.
So has anyone tried the:
1) 10 Cheesebugers in 10 minutes challenge ( Macdonalds)
2) The Pounder challenge (Macdonalds)
3) McGangBang (McChicken wedged in between a double cheeseburger)
4) Krispy Kreme Burger (Burger using Krispy Kreme donuts as buns)
5) Toasted cheese sandwich burger (toasted cheese sandwiches as buns on a burger with the lot)

Has anyone got any others?

I'd be up for the Macca's challenges, but only if I was in the mood.

I've eaten 50 mcnuggets like it was nothing once.

Ate 64 Spring rolls on a dare too, spewed my guts up.

If I've been to the gym, pretty much for the next 4 hours my stomach becomes a bottomless pit

That must've been "Man V's Food."
My cousin told me about that, it's on tonight on Channel 646 at 10:30pm.
If I'm up I'll watch it but I think it is rerun Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. Or so my cousin says.

this one time at band camp we got a guy at maccas to make us a triple double cheeseburger only with mcchicken fillets - epic.

I can do a schooner of beer in .6 of a second if anyone wants to take me on in a skulling competition.

10+ cheese/Bacon BBQ burgers is noy, but in 10 minutes it could be challenging. I've had 14 in one sitting, drunk as hell, didn't touch the sides. 30 nuggets wasn't a problem either when I was hungry once.

Pounder is amazing as rock in your veins but I've smashed one.

Family box challenge is another I'd like to see be done, not to keen on it myself.

I'd like to see somebody do 10 large chips without drinking (salty)
The cheeseburger burger (double quarterpounder with a cheeseburger in between paddies) in less than 2minutes.

Going back when I was an apprentice and worked massive hours, I would only get one meal a day, dinner when I got home.
Macca's had a family meal deal with 2 big mac, 2 cheesburgers, nuggets, 2 large and 2 small chips and two 1.125 bottles of drink (one being Dr Pepper and the other Solo I think)
That was my dinner most nights.

Hmmm double pounder seems like a good idea......That's about 900grams of meat

ApolloMkII
31-05-10, 07:27 PM
No way. I'm gettin' sick just thinking about it. Then again, I just had dinner now, a big plate of spaghetti.

I struggle to remember exactly what it was but back about 15 years ago i was going to the gym. My mates and i would leave the gym and proceed to take on Pizza Hutt all you can eat. I polished off 4 large pizzas, i think it was 4 bowls of pasta and numerous bowls of ice cream. After being seated for some time we were asked to leave lol

Between the 3 of us we polished off so much more than $7.95 worth of food each. Between the 3 of us it was about 15 pizzas, 20 pastas and god only knows how much desert :D :D :D

Whos up for this...

1 Kg Schnitzel with chips and sauce of your choice
1 Litre of Beer (Erdinger weissbier or Stiegl Beer)
the record is 17 minutes

Just had one, was pretty good!

Well done! Thats an Aussie Gangbang!!!!!!

Considering the Americans have the McChicken and the Double Cheesburger as part of their $1 range, its cheap (and the McChicken is smaller).

How much did this cost?

And I hope you asked for Diet Coke!

Here in canada the double big mac is in list of burgers as a std burger, It even gets a picture of it next to the normal big mac. And they still do supersize over here which is HUGE, considering the australian large is the medium here. No wonder north americans are so fat.

http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww280/aussieIDI-07/Food%20Challenges/DSC03556.jpg

First bite and I was surprised at how good it was.

http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww280/aussieIDI-07/Food%20Challenges/DSC03557.jpg

Quite tasty and just a little sweeter than a standard burger. The Sweetness of the donut didn't over power the saltyness of the pattie/cheese/bacon.

Last year i joined a slurrpy comp 7/11 were holding in Circular Quay. The comp was to finish off a large slurrpy. I scored the second fastest at 31sec, couldve made it into the 20s and came first if i didnt drop the cup..

Pat Bertoletti aka 'Ice Man' came down from the states to promote it, apparently he holds a few eatings records, and finished his large slurrpy in 10sec flat.

Mmmmm....Chilli Dog!!!.....

Finally something that I can comment on with some authority...

Yep, their Tiger is damn good...I find that it tastes even better by digging a small well through the mash, peas and pierce the top of the pie then splash with worcestershire sauce and black pepper...!

Then there's the Hot Dog de Wheels...I personally don't like having onions on it and prefer they double up on the chilli con carne. Also, if you don't want to get your shirt dirty, best also to eat with your mouth over your belly...

With a name of a diner like that, this was bound to happen.

A very real medical emergency has unfolded at a Las Vegas restaurant that offers "Bypass" burgers and "Flatliner" fries.

The doors to the Heart Attack Grill warn that eating off the menu may be hazardous to your health; and the warnings appear to have come true for one diner.

Amateur video has emerged showing a man being wheeled out of the Heart Attack Grill on a stretcher after a medical episode that restaurant employees say looked like, well, a heart attack.

The eatery's owner Dr Jon Basso, who is not a medical doctor, says he thought it was a joke when a waitress told him a customer was sweating and shaking.

"A nurse came to me and said 'Dr Jon, we've got a patient who's in trouble'. The gentleman could barely talk. He was sweating, suffering", he told a local news station.

Despite the serious nature of the incident, fellow diners reportedly thought it was just another part of the show.

"I actually felt horrible for the gentleman because tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of a stunt", Dr Jon said, "But even with our morbid sense of humour we wouldn't pull a stunt like that."

A Las Vegas fire spokesman confirmed paramedics were summoned to the restaurant on Saturday evening and a man was indeed hospitalised.

Since opening in October the restaurant has become infamous for its gut busting menu and the scantily clad 'nurses' who serve the food.

A single meal there can exceed 8,000 calories, and customers weighing in at over 350 pounds (159kg) eat for free.

Dr Basso says he heard the man is recuperating. His name and the medical condition he suffered weren't released.

Yeah, I've watched Man V Food. Like you said, alot of the stuff he eats looks nice, but eating ALL that for food challenges is rediculous!
I'd like to try some of the food, but not giant hamburgers or pancakes! Pork ribs, and pulled pork rolls look great!

Anyone for a bacon burger?

A man has decided to make the most of Burger King's Japanese promotion where you can add 15 strips of bacon to your burger for only ?100 ($1.18). He ordered 1,050 extra slices for good measure, as any sane man would.

The following video contains all the artery-clogging action, as the man braves the bacon in a big way with his $85 snack.

I'm totally against cooking animals with the head on. Eugh.

I think the head should be removed and placed on a stake as a warning to others.

It'd be good if they had some franchises over towards Maroubra, Kingsford, Eastgardens, Matraville way. They'd give McDonalds a good run for their money.
