how straight is good enough for Chain line?

I know straighter the better, but it's kinda impossible if you want to be anal about it.

so i just want to know what is good enough..

on my bike, chain doesn't skip or pop or anything,, but it does make a bit of noise when i take off.. once im on the go, it's smooth and quiet.. is that good enough??:D
