but make sure you testride one before you put down your cash, they have very weird geometry.. the 56.6cm is a small but the top tube is like 52.5cm or something iirc

A designers bike?!


The BauBike is inspired by Bauhaus design. It is constructed around the geometric shape of the square and the equilateral triangle. The design is stripped down to clean lines and raw material. The open-end piece above the back wheel, offers the possibility to customize the function of the bike to whatever need you may have. The different accessories can be placed in the tube and can easily be changed if needed. The design follows a set of formal rules, limiting the geometry to straight lines in a pattern of 60 and 90 degree angles in proportions following the principle of the golden section.

LBS got a few of the new MASIs in today, I went for a look as they built them up, they're hot. They had one of the nekkid and white/creme ones with track drops and one of the nekkid/blue with flat bar. I wasn't sold on the pictures I saw (did they make their way in here?) but they're pretty hot in the flesh.

For some reason I wasn't sold on the blue chainring/steerer tube spacers/rims on the flat, they just seem a little bit too much.

Couldn't decide which I'd have, given the choice :)

Yer Initially I was going to buy a frame and parts from overseas but the waiting
time and general time to build was the killer.

Pierro did a fantastic job of putting things together... Im stoked.

i think you will find if it is a carbon fixie/bike from the last 2 years the flex will not be an
issue. the advancements in this time has been incredible with weave direction, layering
of carbon etc....

Both. I have a 10km sprint to work on two of melbourne busiest shopping streets, so I ride free during the week to give me quicker stopping when car doors get opened on me. I switch to fixed for weekend rides when I'm less worried about losing my teeth on a window frame

It's not new (belt drive). The idea is a good one for a commuter as you never get grease (from a standard chain) on your clothes.

That is going straight to my 'hot bikes' folder. As a side note, I hate fixed gear tricks and consider it to be worse than nickelback, cucumber, pushing in front of people in queues, not stopping at crossings, and not smiling whilst pouring people a beer. However, I have had the pleasure of riding Hubba, and that shit is high and hard to get on to. I could only icepick the last 1m of it. I would say that grinding the Hubba is almost impressive, but it looks like that buffoon has just timed his pedals right and ridden straight onto it. Oh yeh, pedalgrinds are the bmx equivalent of pressureflips.
