What an epic ride.
In attendance was Taibo, Cliffy, Zi, Jing, Thanh, Elim and Nelson.
I've finally done 2 laps of Loftus Oval and fuck me my thighs and knees are hurting like never before!
Clifton, Taibo and I met up at 6.30 and I knew I was going to have a hard time keeping up with the pace. I'm fast on anything downhill and great on technical uphill but once we crossed the highway and started that long gradual uphill I was left behind. I just can't do it, no power. SPD's might help, sure, but it's an endurance issue as well. Cliffy and Tai waited for me just before the tech uphill which I smashed and passed 2 guys walking up on hardtails (that felt good!) and they caught me back up on that 2nd boring gradual uphill to the rock intersection, we stuck together for the rest of the ride, got back to the carpark and all the boys were there (minus Nelson who was late!).
I set off on the 2nd lap feeling pretty drained, but up for it. Across the highway I heard a loud rattling noise, was it Thanh's bike? Or Elims? NOPE it was mine! I pulled over and shook a few things only to realise it was my rear rotor. It was literally hanging on with only one rotor bolt!!!
Thanh lent me a couple off his rear rotor and we got going again (thanks mate I owe you one!).
I was spider pig for a stint and copped 2 massive webs in the face in blair witch.
Stacks: 2 (Taibo's classic clipped in slow stack in the carpark and Thanh into a tree).
Some pics:

Thanh's new Pitch. Lovely isn't it?

The crew were waiting for Cliffy, Tai and I once we finished our 6.30PM lap.

Lights out! We did a long bit of trail without lights at one point, massive fun.

Ghost riders.

This furry guy was just a little higher than head height, luckily.

RPRSNT!

On the back of Tai's truck.
