Last night I got to go to the GIant 2010 Performance Launch with MC Cyclery. Here are just a few pics I took on the night:

This new 2010 filter (it's like a Talon replacement) was at MCC, sold earlier that day.

We rode from MCC to the event which was at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Coogee Beach. Grant riding brakeless down Arden St (massive steep hill) would have been funny to watch. We got there all giggles and sweaty. The guys at the front desk were nice enough to let us store our bikes in the hotel's luggage storage room. Niiiice!

Free T-Shirt on entry. Ta Giant!

Barry and Grant with the new 29'er which was on display outside the main room. Giant had a fair few technical guys on hand to run all the dealers through each bike, they were very knowledgable about each bike (amazingly so I thought). When I asked about the rims on this bike the answer I got from one techy was that they're deeper to make the spokes shorter, thus making a more rigid wheel as 29'ers traditionally use longer spokes which make for a flexy wheel. The rear cassette is apprently specifically designed for 29'ers too and so too the cockpit/low and very wide bars.

Blingin details throughout most of the top end Giant bikes in 2010.

The main room where most models in the new range were represented.

Check the seatpost.

One more.

I'll take this one please.

Droolworthy TCR with electronic shifting (was so surreal to play with, sounds like a robot) Check the Zipp rim, golf ball styled design (golf balls cut through the air in a particular way).

More Zipp golf ball inspired design.

TCR detail.

Track bike.

Fixies.

So manga. Amazing to see in real life.

I couldn't stop playing with these buttons.

New Glory. Maybe my fave looking bike in the room.

Like a redback spider!

Glory pivot design.

New Fox.

She will be mine. I just need to get rid of some bikes to make room.
