Yep, Its designed as an off-road bike packing bike.

People race the tour divide on them.

The main selling point for me on the new fargo as opposed to the old fargo is that salsa tweaked the headtube size and fork used so your able to run a 80mm 29er suspension fork.

I guess its a bike that doesnt excel at anything(maybe bikepacking) but its capable of doing almost anything.

If i want to race i can put a fork on it, i want to commute i put slicks on it and a rear rack, if i want to tour i put a front rack on, i want to bike pack i put frame bags on it or i can bust out on some sweet single track with a rigid fork with a tyre with some nice bag on it.

    Very versitile.

Best "add hot water" food in the world IMHO!!

Seat To Summit Thermo inner bag- adds - 15 degs to my 10yr old zero deg sleeping bag. WIN!

Pacific Outdoors 2/3 Peak Oyl Mountain sleep matt. 4 season. 500g!

Umming and arghing about bivvy. A friend has a goretex outdoor research Alpine that i can go test or there is a cheaper Highland version.

I'm thinking of this one from Vaude though due to the design. No need for bug net either as at altitude there are no insects FTW!
