    Default Scales

scales: who's got what, and how much did they cost?

I'm looking for some hanging scales that weigh up to 20kg.

I've seen the cheapies on ebay for around $10, but i'm dubious of their accuracy.
i've seen not-so-cheapies on ebay for around $50 and wonder if they're actually any better than the $10 cheapies..

    oh, the dilemma.

ps: i only want them to weigh bikes and frames.

I bought just the cheap shit off eBay, it was like $4 delivered. It's actually more accurate then i thought it would be; it was like 40 grams off on a 1kg weight.

Got a cheap 30kg postal scale of fleabay for weighing my hiking kit and I have used it for bike parts as well. Don't know if you could weigh a whole bike on it, never tried it myself.

Cheapy off Ebay - weighs up to 40kg & seems accurate enough.
I take it when I travel O/S for work. Good for weighing luggage (excess baggage can be a real headache!)
No problems weighing a whole bike at 10kg - 15kg. (Could weigh 2 at a time!)

These scales can be bought for $5, delivered from Hong Kong!!
The guy riding alone, going the other way.....
