    Nice!

Hope the steerer tube on your forks is long enough. Head tube on that frame looks much longer.

You are correct!!! Head tube indeed is super long!!!
    @ 165mm

While the old reign had a 130mm
    Fork steered is 210mm~
So my steerer tube sits dangerously low :S
About 15 mm below the top of the stem !!!

I need to find a stem with a lower stack height something around 35mm
    ..... Or a new fork !

    More pics tonight!!!
.....so where's the fuel cap on the bicycle??

What length stem do you run? Funn do a stem with a 30mmish height. But pretty sure it only available in a 50mm version.

    Heya Nat,

Thanks for the heads up, I'll def look into it !!!!! i also say a few FSA stems too

I currently run the 110mm stem I had on the old Small Reign, and to be honest.....I dont know if thats too long? As thats all I have ever ridden !

    will a 50mm make a MASSIVE difference compared to the 110 ??

and whats the 'problem' with running a such a low steer in the stem? safety? handling?
.....so where's the fuel cap on the bicycle??

Im currently using the Giant's (FSA) stock integrated headset (zero stack) along with NO spacers and yet, the steer tube sits 18mm below the stem

so a new headset is out of the question!

My only other options is a new fork, or a new stem....or continue as is !!!!

any help would be appreciated !

Safety, the amount that the stem clamps around the steerer is simply not enough to hold the stem in place. Although you might have thought it was fine on your ride today, a nose cased drop or jump could smack your stem out of place and send you into the bushes. You can usually get away with 5-10mm, but the larger the clamping area the better. I run a 5mm spacer on top of most of my stems to make sure I get a good amount of clamp.

A 50mm stem would make a huge difference, but I think it would probably be too much. 110mm is quite long, particularly on an all mountain bike. 70mm is a good intermediate size, and you can adjust from there. If you feel the bike is too large now it may just take some getting use to, but a shorter stem will help.

    How tall are you?
