Default 1865 Boneshaker (and some other oddities)

On the weekend the fiance and I did some shopping at some vintage and antique stores, as we're redoing our bedroom. I found some cool bike stuff at 'Doug Up on Bourke' that you guys might be interested in

First up is a boneshaker which was dated as 1865. The rider basically sits on a leaf spring, and pedals the front wheel as a direct drive. Over the front wheel there are supports so he can rest his legs out of the way of the pedals down hills Braking is done by twisting the handlebars, which pulls a piece of string which applies a brake pad directly to the steel rim. Price was in the $6K region, but when was the last time you saw a bike like this?

Next up is a pedal powered grinding wheel, homemade goodness

And a vintage hand propelled child's scooter, presumably for a kid with a lower body disability? The cover is over a chainguard which is attached to the fron axle.

Thanks for sharing man. You got any extra info (i.e maker, history etc) on the bone shaker?

Didnt pay enough attention to be honest, was too busy mulling over whether their aluminium hospital cabinets would look good in our bedroom...
