    Default Fixie Frame Advice

    Sup y'all

I'm looking for a new frame and fork to upgrade from my 09 Trek Soho. I will try and use all the parts from this bike, but I'm not opposed to buying new bits if needed or they suit better.

I like the look of the Pro Lite Trentino and of course the Cinelli mash.

So basically, I don't know much about bikes except I like riding them on the street haha, so if anyone has opinions on the models above or other frames to look at I'd appreciate any help at all

    Thanks
    Ben

Is your Soho a belt drive? If so neither of your above options will work with the drivetrain without some pretty drastic mods.

So your after an oversized aluminium tubed thing then?

Lamb, is a soho frame, but the rest of it is like any other fixie I guess, normal drivetrain.

    Alex, pretty much, yes haha.

Not sure compatibility on what you have but with your criteria here's a small list:

    Felt tk1
    Cervelo t3
    Hillbrick
    Dolan
    Cinelli vigretta something's

That was my ploy... Buy a nice steel frame set, cheaper and better in my opinion.

If you are intisting on aluminium (foil) frame then buy a complete felt tk2/3. You can also then rce some track this winter with me!

+1 for a steel frame. Much better for street use.

What sort of geo are you looking for? Aggressive track style? More of a cruiser? Or somewhere neutral?

I see what's going on here haha - I'm not against steel, I just love the look of those bikes I listed originally.

I'm after something more aggressive than my trek, it's pretty relaxed (see pic) but not after a hard out track monster either cause all my riding is street riding.

Any suggestions on some nice steel frames ?

The Soho will always look like a hybrid it is. The Mash would be big suprise to ride as those things are pretty bloody stiff.
