Default Inner west riders for advocacy

Hopefully we can pick up some hits here.

As has been said in the thread on rb, we need some ideas on numbers. So feel free to post here or in the other thread.

    Good luck with it!

    A few thoughts/suggestions:
    * Have you checked to see whether these Councils have existing cyclepath or multi-use path strategies or plans? If you can align your plans with existing actions you'll massively increase your chance of getting some traction.
    * Try and align your suggestions to get maximimum positive outcomes. If the bike path can be used as a path for people in mobility scooters so they can get to the shops, youre increasing the livability of the area for multiple user groups.
    * Are there any local Bicycle User Groups (BUGs) you can work with? They also might know the lay of the local political land as well.
    * Are there any bike shops or bike clubs you can work with to help spread the word and show support?

It's in very early stages at the moment, but hopefully we'll start to work towards doing some of those things you have suggested.

Nerf on RB has been involved with a lot of advocacy before, including in the councils metioned. So he's pulling the strings. I'm merely tagging along for the ride. But the area being considered already has quite a large road/commuter prescence, so hopefully we can get some lobbying power from that group.
