    Default Suspension Reducers Fox

Recently I went to have my DU Bush & alloy Reducers replaced on My Anthem X

LBS was happy to do it for me. But didn't have the reducers. They said. "Shell be right" & fitted the originals.

Well... They have worn out again. I can feel the play in the suspension. So this time I'm doing it Myself. However I want to make sure I'm certain about the size of the alloy reducers.

Does anyone know what size they are.
My Bike is a Anthem X1 26" My rear shock is a FoxFloat R

I Think It would be this one here but I'm not 100% sure

Yes I will be getting a DU Bush removal tool as well.

The reducers normally don't wear out unless you let the DU bushes wear our which in turns wears out the reducers. The DU bushes are sacrificial.

Replace the DU bushes and chances are, you'll be fine.

I buy a half dozen at a time and yes I have the removal/installation tool.

Hang on, the link shows the eyelet bushes, that's different to a reducer. The bushes are a 1/2" x 1/2" standard size for the Fox shocks (not sure about other brands). Most good LBSes should have them on hand.

2 mths ago or so I had the DU bush replaced. The DU bush was pretty worn out. You could see the movement at the top of the shock. So it lasted me almost 18mths. this one only lasted 2 months or so......I'm suggesting the reducers should also have been replaced at the time.

somewhere down that page I posted are some reducers. They are "Fox Hardware 8x22"

At least that's what I think the reducers are....

Ahh, okay. I understand the issue now.

    I don't know.

At risk of fucking something else today, because it has been one of those days, I'll just post this...

    http://service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/index.htm

The drop down folders on the left, there's one called Quick Tech Rear Shocks, within that there is a downloadable spreadsheet called Rear Shock Fit Chart.

That has a comprehensive list, it even has such rare bikes as the Anthem! It has the part numbers for the mounting hardware.

Hope that's more help than I normally am.

Well I decided to order these above . But after several weeks of being on B/O and not able to give me an exact delivery time I canceled the order. Looks like I will now get the DH bush remover from DIYMTB & source these 5 piece bushes from EBay

    Stan's bus rant's since 2011. Now on 4S
