    Default Parts Recommendations -

Hey guys, recently broke my fixie. I need recommendations for a new chain (and perhaps chain breaker tool) and a new fixed hub - i don't want it to be flip flop - just straight out fixed would be fine. I'll probably need a new rim.. Vdeep might be the way to go?

Failing that i'll probably haul it on down to the nice man grant at mc. Either way, i'd like to try fix it myself first so... recommend away...!

    SE Lager!

...and the chain jumped off. I get the feeling the rear wheel wasn't far back enough and hence too much slack in the chain! Amazingly frustrating

so you want a new rear wheel... maybe order in a deepV laced to a Velocity hub.

as for chain you need a bmx style one..

KMC BMX chain will do it Charlie, cheap as chips and come in many different colours too if you want that kinda thing.

The boys have awesome recommendations (as per our telephone convo bro!)

If you have to do it yourself I have the tools and you have the talent...together we can get crunk and rock out!

Did you "f" up the hub or are just worried about it happening again dude?
you can change the fixed gear/lock ring with a lockring tool/ chain whip which should be all you need to do? as for chain i don't trust the KMC ones :P the Surly has a sram and was debating swapping to a white kmc and didnt like them!
